Surprises!!
So last week was a week with a couple surprises, Im am just loving how the Lord is opening new doors for me 😀
First I got a phone call asking if I would attend a craft fair being held on Saturday 5th October, which I am looking forward to as this will be my first venture into the world of craft shows. My poor wee sewing machine won’t know whats hit it. I will schedule information about this in the events calender as I find out more in due course.
And secondly I got asked by a lovely lady if I would be able to do a special workshop for her… I can’t fill you in on any info on this as it is a big surprise and im soooo excited to be a part of it.
Next Wednesday is Alan’s Gran’s birthday….. Gran is in a home and as you can imagine it is always difficult to know what to get her. I have made her in the past a couple of bags that can be attached to her frame which she uses 24/7.
I know this is something which she gets great use from and a lot of others in the home admire so I thought I couldn’t go far wrong in making her a nice new one, but this time I am going to add a bit of hand embroidery to it with a line of one of her favourite courses “All things bright and beautiful”.
These are the fabrics I have chosen to make her a very pretty bag:-
Tanya Whelan Scattered Roses – Pink and Sweetie Rose – Taupe. You can find both of these on our online shop.
This will be my sewing project for the week working alongside a lovely summer wedding I am doing the flowers for this weekend. I’ll keep you posted on the finished product.
I have also been part of the doing the flowers for another couple of wedding over the last few weeks so I must the photos uploaded this week at some point for you too.
